Service to Mankind

The Muslim community in the south suburbs of Chicago is diverse and vibrant. In addition, there is a larger, welcoming American community in the vicinity that is receptive to Islam and Muslims. CITCD strives to serve the community by providing an avenue for Islamic education and community development.

The Center for Islamic Teachings and Community Development (CITCD) is an Illinois-based non-profit organization registered with the IRS as a 501(C)(3), and all donations to the organization are tax-deductible.

How We Got Here

Historically, Islamic services have been concentrated in the northern and western suburbs of Chicago. There was a large void in the southern suburbs for even essential Islamic services.

Abraar Academy has been serving more than 20 Islamic schools and hundreds of families in the capacity of exclusive distributors of Safar Publications (North America).
